I am delighted that you are interested in the wonderful opportunities currently available to work at Epping Forest District Council. I hope that, after reading a little bit about the council and what the roles entail, you will decide to submit an application. This is an exciting time for the council as we are working hard to bring forward transformational growth across the district; including a nationally designated ‘Garden Town’.
The Local Plan is at an advanced stage, and sets out the requirement to bring forward development on strategic sites across the District. This includes the preparation of Masterplans and Concept Frameworks covering planned areas of growth. These Masterplans will be coordinated and critically reviewed by the council. The council requires there to be early community engagement and a stepped change in design, including full and proper consideration of the infrastructure necessary to create well-functioning and integrated communities. Planning Performance Agreements are being introduced to ensure that a coordinated and project managed approach is taken.
